Historic Interest

Our Adobe building was built in 1849 and our Queen Anne addition was built in 1914. The Adobe was frequented by miners seeking fortune during California's Gold Rush era. The Queeen Anne was constructed to house officials that worked on the Hetch Hetchy project, the water way that supplies the entire San Francisco bay area with water. The buildings have been painstakingly re-renovated and kept true to original form for the purpose of maintaining the historic value of both.

Historic Awards: National Register (Granted), State Register (Granted), Local Register (Granted), National Historical Site (Granted) and State Historical Site (Granted).

Historic sites nearby: There are several historic towns and sites from Gold Rush days to explore. Our friendly staff is knowledgeable and can point you in the right directions when pursuing these gems.
