Description

Circa 1912. Said to be the oldest continuously operated bed & breakfast in Victoria, Oak Bay is an English Tudor-style inn on a half acre of grounds. Features of the inn include beamed ceilings, diamond-shaped leaded-glass windows, built-in cupboards, a sun lounge and a parlor. Furnishings include antiques. Breakfasts are served in the dining room, complete with fireplace. There are four courses, including favorites as eggs Benedict and freshly baked muffins such as cranberry-walnut or rhubarb muffins. The inn's gardens are inviting, but so is downtown Victoria, a double-decker bus away (or you can walk). There are tea rooms, antique shops and turn-of-the-century Victorian homes in the gracious tree-shaded neighborhood. The ocean and beach walks are a block away. Rates are quoted in Canadian dollars.
