The Timberholm Inn was a fabulous Vermont experience. Not only is the town of Stowe full of things to do and beautiful scenery to gaze at but the Timberholm Inn was like a home away from home (but even better than our current home as it had a hot tub, fireplace, games to play, etc.) to go back to each evening. After a busy day of hiking, shopping, zip lining, and sightseeing, relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine was a fabulous way to end the day. To top it off, we would wake up the next morning with an awesome chef-quality breakfast to energize us for the new day. We LOVED Tom's ability to cook! It was by far some of the best breakfast we have had. I would suggest the Inn to anyone that would like a nice cozy home away from home while in Vermont. It was fabulous!!

Stowe needs no introduction to its famous outdoor resort facilities. The Bears Lair Inn is perfectly situated to take advantage of these activities in every season of the year. Cross-country ski trails leave right from the front door, and during the warm months, a 5.3-mile bike and walking path winds through some of Vermont’s most splendid scenery, crossing wooden bridges and working farms. The inn resembles a Swiss chalet, while the interior decor has a homey, country feel. Some guest rooms feature canopy, brass or sleigh beds; others boast a spa. If the night is star filled, an outdoor hot tub makes a fun nightcap. In the morning, a light breakfast of fresh fruit, homemade muffins and cereal is followed by a more substantial one of waffles with homemade raspberry sauce, apple-cinnamon pancakes, or eggs Benedict. During the summer you’ll enjoy this in the patio garden. The center of Stowe is only a stroll away along the recreation path. Here you can browse through the numerous antique and craft shops.
