Circa 1880. Dr. John Westcott, a man notable for his part in building the St. John Railroad and linking the Intracoastal Waterway from St. John's River to Miami, built this stunning vernacular Victorian. The elegant inn overlooks Matanzas bay, affording guests an enchanting view both inside and out. The interior is filled with Victorian furnishings, from marble-topped tables to white iron beds. The inn is located in St. Augustine's historic district, and plenty of historic sites, restaurants and shops are within walking distance.

Our stay at the Westcott House was our first experience at a B&B. Our experience here is what has us "hooked" on staying at B&B's when we travel. This property is wonderful!

My husband and I came here before our first child was born. The people were great. The Alexandria room was beautiful. The plumbing was kind of old, and the parking was a little out of the way. However, we would stay here again.
