Description

Be renewed by the blend of simple elegance and rustic ambiance in the Collayomi Valley of North Calistoga over Mt. St. Helens. Stay in one of the individual cottages that feature air conditioning, skylight, gas fireplaces, a refrigerator and coffeemaker and access to the video collection. The private redwood decks overlook the Manzanita grove, pond and waterfall. One cottage is wheelchair accessible. Gather in the dining room of the main house for a hearty country breakfast that begins with fresh-squeezed orange juice. Schedule a massage with a certified therapist then soak under the stars in the hot tub. Harbin Hot Springs is ten minutes away and it is a two-hour drive to San Francisco or Sacramento. Take a wine tasting tour of nearby Lake County wineries.

Truly an Oasis

The cabin was perfect. The food was delicious and catered to our tastes. The host (Greta) was warm, welcoming, and a delight. Even our little dog loved the place :-D

Beautiful Oasis

My friend and I were traveling on a dark and rainy night, and needed a place to stay in Middletown. We discovered the Backyard Garden Oasis on the Internet, and were fortunate to be able to book a room. Upon meeting Greta for the first time, it felt like reuniting with an old friend, and when we got to our cottage, we were pleasantly surprised to discover fresh cut flowers on the dining table, and a warm and inviting electric fireplace / heater warming up the room for us. Every detail was attended to the rooms were spotless, there were nice, new fluffy towels, pleasant fragrant soaps, shampoo, conditioner and lotions in the large bathroom and shower. The bed was very comfortable, and we even had WiFi and hundreds of TV and music channels for no extra charge. Even the exterior of all the buildings were equipped with soft orange lighting triggered by motion detectors. We did have to drive into town to receive cell phone reception, but it was nice to be able to interact with each other for a change instead of starting at our smart phones. We look forward to many happy returns. Highly recommended!

Great B&B. Convenient to Wine Cntry

The exterior of this property is a bit unprepossessing so my daughter and I weren't sure what to expect. We were very pleased to find that our cabin was exceptionally appealing - spacious, airy, filled with light and nicely decorated. The bathroom was lovely, clean and bright and sparkling. The bed was very comfortable. Very good coffee with fresh cream in the refrigerator. Outside the cabin was a nice patio and the backyard is quiet and lush. At first we thought the location was out of the way for us since we planned to visit wineries further south. Actually, it is a short drive over very scenic hills. Greta was very hospitable and her breakfasts are to die for! We would strongly recommend this B&B.

Beautiful Retreat

What a beautiful retreat you have. We had such a great time and the cottage we stayed in is just darling. It is unfortunate that mommy and daddy duties call and we had to cut our stay short, but nevertheless, we were able to enjoy alone time. Can't believe the amount of snow that fell here though. What a beautiful, gorgeous sight. Such a treat! Thank you for the yummy breakfast. We will surely be back soon. Our regards to Rusty!

We feel so lucky to have found your oasis and to have met you as well. This is our first time here, but rest assured we will be back! Your place is inspiring and provided a healing environment which we very much needed. Until next time...

Fall in Love All Over Again

We had a wonderful visit. Such peace and tranquility. It is a beautiful oasis! Breakfast each morning was superb - the French Toast was divine. Great conversations with the other guests. This was a perfect location for exploring the area. We really appreciated your suggestions for wineries. Your lovely and gentle spirit is what makes this place as special as it is. Thank you for making my 50th birthday so lovely and relaxing and for providing a place where my husband and I could fall in love all over again.

Looking forward to my next stay her

Wonderful, quaint and quiet B & B with a great location near Harbin in Middletown and other spas in Calistoga. Our stay was so relaxing because it was peaceful and tranquil in our lil cottage with our own private deck. The cottage was large with all the amenities, soft, huge towels and nice comfy linens on the king size bed. Greta, the innkeeper is such a sweetheart, so kind and a very good cook. Our breakfast was so yummy- homemade french toast with fresh berries and huge, meaty bacon! We will definitely stay here again!

Peace and quiet

I have made dozens of business trips each year to south Lake County since 2003, and have stayed at many of the available accommodations. Backyard Garden Oasis is by far my favorite. I look forward to a glass of wine at the end of the day on the wood deck in front of my cabin and to the sound of birds in the morning. It is amazing how close you can be to the hustle and bustle of Napa Valley and yet find peace and quiet. I will keep going back.

Relaxing

What a wonderful, off the beaten path, experience. I can't remember the last time I relaxed in quiet comfort. The innkeeper was truely wonderful and her breakfasts were delightful.

Great Get Away

Backyard Garden Oasis was a lovely get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are basic but very cozy. Greta was a wonderful hostess and we look forward to staying here again sometime.

Married Here!

This is the first place my partner and I vacationed at when we met 7 years ago and in August last year we were married at this beautiful oasis. We've spent time here many times over the last 7 years. The inn is quiet and peaceful, Greta, the owner is wonderful to talk with, she's smart and funny, and makes the most amazing breakfasts. After spending many wonderful weekends at Backyard Garden Oasis we decided it would be the perfect place to get married and it was. The planning was easy and Greta was able to suggest many vendors in the area to help us with planning our wedding. We had the most special day of our lives at Backyard Garden Oasis and we will continue to visit often! It feels like our second home.
