Circa 1860. The Back Forty Bed and Breakfast Ranch & Retreat spans 40 serene acres west of Fredericksburg in Texas Hill Country. Watch horses, cattle and sheep grazing among live oak trees. Sit at the edge of Baron’s Creek or on the herb garden patio. Take out the boat or canoe and fish on the private lake. Fly fishing lessons can be arranged. Swim in the pool, soak in the spa and feel even more relaxed with a massage and European sauna. Accommodations include cottages, suites and the Bunkhouse apartment. A continental-plus breakfast is provided for the cottages and Bunkhouse. A full breakfast is included with the suites.
