Avon Inn
55 E Main StAvon, NY 14414-1438
(585)226-8181
This Greek Revival mansion, in both the state and national historic registers, has been providing lodging for more than a century. After 1866, the residence was turned into a health center that provided water cures from the local sulphur springs. The guest registry included the likes of Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and Eleanor Roosevelt. Though the inn is no longer a health spa, guests can still relax in the garden with its towering trees and fountain or on the Grecian-pillared front porch. A full-service restaurant and conference facilities are on the premises.
