About Our Rooms

Margaux Room

Situated on the first floor, this is one of our most affordably priced guest rooms. It features vineyard views, a queen-size bed, small flat-screen TV, and a private bath with antique Victorian clawfoot tub. From this vantage point, you’ll be the first to awaken in the morning to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods.

Rates: $120 - $165

Type of bed: Queen

Lorraine Room

Located on the second floor, Lorraine offers a queen bed, small flat-screen TV, and four large bay windows with vineyard views. Although it has its own spacious and well-appointed bathroom with clawfoot tub and vineyard views, one must venture a few steps out into the hallway to reach the bathroom. Purportedly haunted by a female ghost who frequents the hallway, those soft footsteps heard pacing outside your door may be of ghostly origin!

Rates: $120 - $165

Type of bed: Queen

Hermitage Room

In one of our most popular rooms, enjoy a view of the wooded hills from a quaint window seat accented with four large bay windows. The oak high-back king bed is a great vantage point from which one can gaze out the window or watch TV. The large private bath is distinctively retro, with 2 sinks, vineyard views, large walk-in shower with skylight, and plenty of room for that private massage, if you feel like treating yourself.

Rates: $155 - $195

Type of bed: King

Sancerre Room

Sancerre is situated in the quietest corner of the building. Decorated in soft hues, this comfortable guest room is the most serene and feminine in the Carriage House. Designed especially for two people traveling together who prefer having their own beds, there are two plush beds with iron headboards that can be arranged to work for either a couple sleeping together or separately for pals who would rather not have their slumber disturbed. The bath has an antique clawfoot tub and is appointed with other Victorian fixtures.

Rates: $135 - $175

Type of bed: (2) , Twin

Vouvray Room

Vouvray has wonderful west-facing views of the vineyards and mountains, as well as private access to the west deck on the building. Resplendent in its vineyard colors, this expansive guest room offers a king-sized bed with plush mattress and bold iron headboard. There is an easy to use electric fireplace (just flip the remote control), gorgeous French antiques, and a completely remodeled bathroom with walk-in shower made of bronze and green glass mosaic tile. Tres chic!

Rates: $175 - $245

Type of bed: King

Echezeaux Room

A large private deck with spectacular southern views of the surrounding vineyards is the special feature of this fabulous guest room. Boldly decorated, appointed with a king bed with plush mattress and a convertible sofa, this guest room has been specially designed to help men feel more comfortable in a B&B setting. Not a lace doily to be found here in this light-filled romantic haven! A mirrored vanity and deep soaking tub with shower are the finishing touches to this very hip abode.

Rates: $175 - $245

Type of bed: King, Twin

Montrachet Suite

Situated on the first floor, the Montrachet suite has its own private entrance, sitting area, and kitchenette. Measuring nearly 500-square-feet, a person could almost play hide and seek in this expansive guest room, which includes a king bed with firm mattress, Jacuzzi tub for two with vineyard views, and separate shower. There’s also a private deck just steps away from the surrounding vineyards.

Rates: $225 - $300

The Best Two Nights We've Had in a Long Time

Auberge On the Vineyard

The property is in a beautiful spot - overlooking a vineyard with a porch - a great place to spend time after dinner (with a glass of wine supplied by the Inn). The breakfasts were great - both Roxanne and Emily are excellent cooks. We didn't eat lunch either day! The room that we had on the main floor of the Inn wasn't large, but there really was ample room and once again we had that view of the vineyard. I would recommend this Inn to anyone visiting Sonoma County. They were also extremely helpful in providing maps and coupons for the various wineries that we visited.

Outstanding Vineyard Views and Superb Experience

Auberge is the perfect location for visitors to the Sonoma Wine Country. The Alexander Valley is right outside the door and other wineries are easily reached on day trips. The room was large, well-appointed, and comfortable. The Carriage House is perfect for groups because of the large common area. The breakfast is truly a delight with Frrench specialities. Good guides on where to go and what to do in Sonoma. A great place to relax and get away.

My goodness - what a wonderful experience. So glad we found you. Bed was wonderful - so romantic - like stepping into the past. Breakfast was gourmet. Roxanne, AKA, Julia Childs, is the nicest host and a wonderful cook. She served the best breakfast we have ever had - definitely French gourmet. Was so nice - You would be lucky to stay here !!!!!! Thank you so much !

Delightful B&B in the heart of Sonoma wine country. Roxanne the super chef creates a fabulous gourmet breakfast - ask about the with tiramisu sauce, always fresh fruit, more than you can eat. But the reason to come here in the first place is all the great vinyards in the area. Roxanne and partner called to arrange visits to two great small wineries, and are a library of information of which ones to see. There is a great Italian Restaurant in Cloverdale, and absolutely great ones a short drive away in Healdsburg. But why pay Healdsburg luxury rates when you can have the same great attention and even better breakfast here for more reasonable rates? Even better, our favorite wineries are closer to Cloverdale than Healdsburg.

My husband & I were celebrating our 20th anniversary and had never been in CA wine country before. We picked the best B&B to stay! Roxanne is a gracious and down to earth host and lovely...she made us feel like we were at home..but with benefits. She makes the best breakfast..wonderful chef! We stayed 4 nights and it was different and wonderful every morning--3 course feast. We have stayed in quite a few B&B's, but she was by far the best host and funniest! It's a bit far north, but well worth the drive...there are so many wonderful vineyards close by to visit and beautiful country to see. Roxanne guided us on places to visit and gave us several wine tasting passes to use. We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Victorian House in the Hermitage room..beautiful room with huge windows looking out onto a great Redwood right outside our window. Our bathroom was very roomy with double sinks & an enormous walk in shower and the softest towels ever! Our bed was a bit firm, but the beds in the carriage house have foam mattresses if you need a softer bed. We were able to tour all the rooms while there...each one lovely..she has done a wonderful job decorating & remodeling! Thank you Roxanne for making our anniversary an event to remember! We hated to leave, hope to see you again!

Like Staying in the European Countryside

We stayed at Auberge on the Vineyard on Saturday night 05/15/11 Our room overlooked the vineyards. Many of my friends have gone to Italy lately and I was dreaming of a quick European experience that i could accomplish in a weekend. Roxanne, the owner rocks the house She is fun and knowledgeable and a great chef. Our breakfast was awesome and her suggestions were great. We went to Bob Dog vineyards and learned so much about the wine growing process and tasted some great wines. We saw wild turkeys on our way up...it was magical. I think staying at Auberge is authentic and not stuffy. You really feel pampered and I can't wait to go back and chill out on the private porch with a nice bottle of wine on a summer day!!!! Stay here, the rest of the wine country is much more expensive.

Lively B&B with Amazing Breakfast and Staff

My husband and I stayed at the Auberge on the Vineyard for our 3-Year Anniversary. We are a younger couple so we really enjoyed that the Inn had a more simple, modern take on your traditional B&B's. Ie: We didn't get lost in floral wallpaper or gaudy trimmings. Our room was very comfortable and there were always tasty treats to enjoy in the evenings... and the breakfasts! Simply delicious, unique meals. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a great place to relax, enjoy great food, and perhaps the company of others. It is worth staying a little off the beaten path!

We have never stayed at a bed and breakfast afraid of the closeness with other people and sharing breakfast. But, Roxanne (owner and great cook!) proved us wrong! We loved the simple, chic/modern style of our room and gorgeous view of the vineyards. The breakfast was the best part, it was fun, delicious and the company was fantastic, Roxanne made conversation easy and you felt as though you were just hanging out with friends. She was also very well informed of the area and told us what vineyards to visit and what roads to take and not to take. I would highly reccomend this for b&b! Perfect Honeymoon

Auberge On the Vineyard

My husband and I spent the second half of our CA honeymoon in Sonoma and stayed at Auberge on the Vineyard. After booking an over priced luxury resort in Napa, we decided to change our plans after friends suggested Sonoma and booked this B&B based on Trip Advisor reviews. Coming from two decades of five star resort experience, working at possibly the most well know luxury hotel chain in the world, I can honestly say this experience exceeded my/our expectations. The food amazing! The tub over looking the vineyard was divine! The bed was beyond comfortable so our sleep was restful! I must admit, Cloverdale was a bit off the beaten wine path but that suited us just fine. Everything was within a short scenic drive. We enjoyed our morning run each day on the back roads and through the winding vineyards. Oh...and on our last day we had an in suite couples massage followed by chocolate fondue and of course wine. This is a place we can return many times to relax and celebrate our love. The only down side...I gained five pounds. Thanks Roxanne.

We took a last minute trip to sonoma and stayed here honestly because I couldnt find a vacancy in Healdsburg on such short notice. But it turns out Cloverdale is not only a short drive to Russian River and Green Valley wineries, but also Sonoma Lake recreation and Redwood forest hikes. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, but the innkeeper, Roxanne, is what made our stay here, with her good humor, knowledge of the area, and FANTASTIC gourmet French cooking!

Stayed at Auberge at the end of June for one night. Our family rented the entire main house. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms nicely decorated. Bathrooms were very clean (and cute!) and well-stocked with the softest, fluffiest towels! Plenty of hot water, too. The Innkeeper could not have been more accommodating.....lovely snacks, drinks, and even a place to store our wine until the next morning! The wrap-around porch, with plenty of upholstered wicker for all of us, was a lovely place to enjoy the evening. The next morning we had a gourmet, 3-course breakfast, served on the lovely porch overlooking the vineyards. What a trip and we will certainly be back!

A Great Place to Gather While Taking in the Wine Country

Auberge On the Vineyard

We were looking for a B&B with three rooms to accommodate our group and we were very, very pleased with our choice of the Auberge on the Vineyard. We stayed on the second floor of the Carriage House where there are three marvelous suites and a fantastic living room. We also enjoyed the outside deck when the afternoon sun faded. The location is perfect. A little further up into the Sonoma County but still in easy striking distance of the wineries in Sonoma County and even the Napa Valley. In our opinion, the wineries and wines of Sonoma are a real treat and the pricing and atmosphere are much better than in the Napa Valley. In particular, the town of Healdsburg was a delightful find with great shopping, eating and wine tasting rooms. We enjoyed the hospitality of the Williamsons in their tasting room the most. Roxanne does a great job on breakfast with a great balance of formality, intimacy and camaraderie. The breakfast choices are made by Roxanne on a daily basis and will not disappoint the vacationing traveler who is looking for a little more on their plate than oatmeal or Special-K. I suggest you sit back and enjoy the calories (and worry about your waist line at lunch!). All in all, this was one of our best B&B experiences ever. We hope to return soon.
