Romance and then some

We first discovered Arsenic and Old Lace through our PBS station. We frequented Eureka Springs because it was close to my husbands boyhood home town. We had stayed at many of the B&B's and motels there and for the most part enjoyed them all. But when we had our first visit at Arsenic and Old Lace we knew we had found our home away from home. The location is great and on the trolley route (the last visit in June we were there for 4 days parked our car and let the trolley do all of the driving). The home is a beautiful Victorian style. The breakfast is wonderful starting with fruit and pastry and then a great main course but the main reason we keep coming back are the owners. Doug and Beverly are truly our friends. But back to the "Romance"!! The rooms are beautiful with iron beds and jacuzzies and some have showers for two. There are balconies to sit and watch the wild life (animals)and world go by when the weather is warm and a fireplace to sit in front of when the weather is cold. But what makes this my romantic B&B? We have traveled all over the U.S. and Canada but this one stands out. It was our 26th anniversary and my husband had Doug order 26 roses (in November)to have waiting for me when we arrived. There they were in a lovely vase in a niche in the room with a light on them. 26 roses now that is romantic. Now that I think about it; it's not just the B&B that is romantic my husband is very romantic also. Yes I know I am lucky.

Four-Star Trip

It was well worth the 1,000 miles we traveled to share your home for a short while...thanks for a four-star vacation.

Wonderful Escape

My husband and I were guests here on our first wedding anniversary and it was fabulous!!! We went in November, it had just started to get cool and we saw several deer that came right up to the back porch area. The service was wonderful and the innkeepers were absolutely wonderful!!! My husband is deployed to Kuwait and I have already booked us a two night stay when he comes home on leave. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great escape!!!

Great two night stay!

We went to Eureka Springs for our 30th anniversary getaway May 11-12, 2012. Your hosts and staff are as special as their B&B. Snacks in the evening, sodas or a glass of wine, assorted DVD's and the cleanest room you'll ever experience plus a great breakfast in the morning to start your day! Ask Doug about the trolley pass, he can book you a massage, and then head out to enjoy Eureka Springs. We have enjoyed staying at B&B's in the past but this one is at the top of the list!
