Description

Circa 1806. Located in the Historic District of New Market, Virginia, in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, the Apple Blossom Inn provides all the privacy and space of a vacation rental combined with the pampering of a B&B. As the only guest, you have the entire eight-room house all to yourself, for the price you might pay for a single room elsewhere. A bountiful breakfast of traditional Virginia fare is served daily on fine china and linens. Originally built in 1806 and modified by various families, the house includes two upstairs bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a fully-equipped kitchen, TV/DVD, parlor, music room with grand piano and pump organ, and dining room. Quaint, cozy, and suitable for 1-4 guests, The Apple Blossom Inn can be a headquarters for outdoor adventure of hiking, biking, golfing, canoeing, a private retreat for reading and resting, or a place to begin your historic journey of Civil War sites, Walking tours, and Presidents' homes. Charlie's fruit plate is often subjected to flashing cameras by guests.

Such a Pretty Inn!

Such a pretty inn! Betty gave us wonderful ideas of places to visit in the area. The breakfast was fabulous and extremely artistic. Hopefully you will be served Betty's apple dumplings. You'll never guess her secret ingredient.

Virginia Hospitality

Other innkeepers could learn an awful lot from the B.K.way; from the marvellous welcome, excellent breakfast showcasing local produce, and her extenxsive knowledge of the local area, we felt both pampered and at home. We have truly appreciated your Virginian hospitality.

Wonderful Respite from D. C.

I do not believe you could find a more gracious host and hostess! Charles' endless creativity with the fruit was a delight and Betty's company and tour of New Market was most enjoyable. What a wonderful respite from D. C.! Thank you so very much!

execellent

My wife and I stayed at this b&b the night of November 4, 2010. Everything about experience was excellent, and we enjoyed chatting with Betty and Charlie, the owners. The décor was beautifully quaint, and the breakfast was attractively presented, as well as nourishing and delicious. We plan to stay there again and will recommend this b&b to our friends after having had such a good experience there. Sincerely, Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin W. Champion from Berwyn, PA

Exceptional Service and Breakfast

October, 2010 Wonderful B&B in the Shennadoah Valley of VA. Creative and welcoming hosts provide exceptional service and and beautifully creative breakfasts. Don't miss the high interesting interpreted walking tour of New Market by the Inn's hostess in period costume. If you are interested in music, ask the hostess about her career as a professional musician!

Pampered in every way

My husband and I have stayed at many b&bs and have never been so royally treated. The breakfasts were amazing and decadent. We felt as if we had stepped back in time immersed in the surroundings and the historical tours of the owner. We had a wonderful time.

Wonderful visit!

My mother and I stayed at the Apple Blossom Inn and had a wonderful time. The hosts are so hospitable, but not obnoxiously so. They have a great knowledge of the history of the area and were very informative and helpful. The food was fantastic and it was so nice to have the house to ourselves. We visited Monticello, drove through the mountains and went to a play.

A Romantic and Quiet Getaway

This place was fantastic! My wife and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and we could not have been more pleased with the experience. Betty Karol and Charles are so nice and accommodating. The breakfasts each morning were amazing. From fruit to some of the most delicious ham I have ever tasted, from apple deserts to a great casserole, the food was a real treat, pun intended. :) The inn only takes one reservation at a time, so you are the only guests in an eight room house! This was very nice, as it provides a great romantic getaway. The peace and quiet was very comforting and relaxing. We will definitely be visiting again!

InnSide Tip - Hiking and Wine Tours
There are a handful of wineries within about half-an-hour of the inn. We visited a few of them and were very pleased. Shenandoah and Cave Ridge were particularly good. The Shenandoah National Park and George Washington National Forest are also not far away. We hiked the White Oak Canyon Trail in Shenandoah National Park, starting from the bottom, going about 2.9 miles up, seeing some fantastic waterfalls along the way and a breathtaking view once we reached the top.

A Wonderful Place

My husband & I stayed at this B&B in Aug. 2011. We have stayed there several times. Dr. Betty Karol & Charles are wonderful people. The breakfast are outstanding! We love the chatting in the morning with the both of them. Everything is decorated so perfectly, and if you forget anything it's there. Just a wonderful place to go just to getaway & relax....We love it... & them also!

My favorite B&B ever!

I've been to maybe half or dozen or so B&Bs, all very nice, but this was my favorite and I hope to be back. The accommodations were great, with a whole house that we had to ourselves, including our own kitchen and sitting area with TV. The breakfasts were outstanding. But the best part of our stay there were the innkeepers themselves, Betty and Charlie. They are perfect hosts, and really know how to turn complete strangers into friends in no time, making us feel so welcome and at home. I can't wait to go back.
