Ant Street Inn

Ant Street Inn

Circa 1899. It seemed a shame to Ant Street's innkeepers to let this historic, Renaissance Revival building go to waste. So, out of what once served as a commercial building, saloon and gambling hall, there is now an elegant inn. From the exterior, it's easy to conjure up images of life in turn-of-the-century Brenham. The interior also has a nostalgic feel, with rooms decorated in elegant antiques, including a selection of beautifully crafted beds. Exposed brick walls, stained glass and 12-foot ceilings are other special features. In addition to the fine antiques and Oriental rugs, modern amenities include cable TV, data ports and individual climate control. Enjoy a delicious hot breakfast of your choice at the inn's restaurant. There is much to see and do in Brenham, but one must make a trek out to the Blue Bell Creameries, for a taste of the famed Blue Bell ice cream.
