Historic Interest

The Inn was built in 1830. The property on which the Inn stands is rich with history. "Deeded to Samuel Bates in the Twenty-sixth reign of Queen Anne of England, Scotland, Wales and France." In 1737 Robert Bates deeded the property to Ephram Kelsey and it remained in the Kelsey Family for over 150 years. It was part of a 51-acre parcel which extended from the Patchogue River to Long Island Sound. It was owned then by ship builders and sea captains.

There are numerous antiques and the home's decor has the charm and tranquillity of yesteryear, with the added comfort and convenience of today. Five newly renovated guest rooms with private detached baths have been beautifully furnished and decorated for your pleasure and comfort. All rooms have bathrobes, air conditioning, cable TV with premium channels, VCR, radio/CD/cassette player, hair dryers, refrigerators stocked with complimentary beer, wine, champagne, soft drinks, bottled water and a basket with fresh fruit and snacks. Coming soon are fireplaces in each guest room, whirpool tubs and dual clawfoot soaking tubs in three of our rooms. Access to house phones and fax is available. A full gourmet breakfast is served. There are strawberries dipped in chocolate (in season) upon your arrival. The Angels' Watch Inn now has wellness professionals trained and licensed in massage therapy, hypnotherapy for weight loss, smoking cessation, relaxation, stress management, nutrition, yoga, Tai Chi, Reiki, intuitive readings, astrology, palm and card readings, past life regressions, spiritual guidance and healing. Peaceful sunset cruises along Long Island Sound are also available. Appointments for these wellness services can be arranged for an additional fee prior to your arrival. By the Connecticut Shoreline, we are just a stone's throw from the Westbrook Town Green, West Beach and the Marina District. Policies

Minimum Stay Requirements:There is a two-eveing minimum on weekends and holidays. A three-evening minimum on all holiday weekends. There are no minimum evening stays during the week Sunday through Thursday (Special events and holidays excluded)
Cancellation:CANCELLATION RULES: If you must cancel your reservation, please notify us fourteen days prior to your arrival date. Holidays on both weekends and during the week and special events require a three week cancellation notice. If you have reserved the entire inn, a forty-five (45) day notice is required for holidays on both weekends and week days and special events. A thirty (30) day notice is required for any other time. There is a full refund of monies for weddings cancelled 30 days before the wedding. There is no refund of monies for weddings cancelled under 30 days of the wedding date. If we cannot fill your vacancy, your credit card will be charged for the total amount of time you reserved and an additional $25.00 service fee per room is charged. There are no credits for late check in or early check out. All Gift Certificates are subject to our cancellation policies.
