Special Experience

Ancient Thomas Riggs House

For history buffs or anyone looking for something special this is a treasure: instead of staying in an oldish house spruced up (which most B&Bs are) and then going to visit a historic site where you can't touch anything, here you directly experience the real deal: the fireplace from the 1600s and the narrow stairs and slanted ceilings are all part of the experience. The proprietor is a professional historian, so she has struck a fine balance between accurate restoration and modern comforts. Very interesting and still very pleasant. Highly recommended for someone who can appreciate how special this is.
