Our First Year

Chris & Yvonne, there are so many thanks to you for making our New Year celebration most memorable. Every bit of detail and attention of love you put into this B&B shines through everywhere! This place is definitely a hidden gem--selfishly, we want to keep it that way, but we will be spreading the word everywhere!

One night here is not enough!

The spectacular view as you drive up immediately hooks you, but it's the amazing hosts that make you stay. Chris and Yvonne have outdone themselves and have created a serene, elegant environment you could quite happily stay in forever. The room looked like you'd stepped into a magazine, decorated to the finest detail. Breakfast was served on the patio and was fresh, homemade and scrumptious. This B&B is the nicest place I've ever stayed in hands down.

Perfection

This Bed and Breakfast is such a lovely and romantic escape with such attention to detail. Views from all the rooms are just what the Doc orders if relaxing and re-connecting with your special someone is at the top of your list. The love that has been put into this beautiful B&B is felt through the home. Also if a warm scrumptious freshly cooked breakfast with fresh fruits and yummy recipes would make your day start out perfectly this is the place. We will remember this experience for years to come and look forward to returning to this little bit of paradise on Lost Mountain. Curtis and Virginia Reeves

Ambiance B & B gets it right!

A whole new standard of excellence! It is obvious that the owners of this B&B did their homework. The attention to detail, inside and out, is extraordinary! The location is a private woodland setting but with views of the straits. Each room is gorgeous and equipped for every comfort and every need. Fireplaces AND claw foot tubs!!! So ROMANTIC. Dine inside or on the lovely fireside patio. Delicious cuisine prepared fresh in house. Oh, try Yvonne's own version of a café mocha, yum! Excellence Indeed!

romantic getaway

Ambiance is the place to stay if you're looking for a romantic getaway. Yvonne and Chris are wonderful hosts. Take a bubble bath by candlelight in their claw foot tub or sit by the fireplace and read a good book. We truly felt like we were being pampered at a wonderful spa. The breakfast is exceptional as well. If you choose to be outside, they have a fantastic wood burning fireplace where you can also enjoy the view of the San Juans. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful new B&B in Sequim

Ambiance is a fabulous new property with great views of Sequim, Vancouver Island, San Juan Island and far beyond. The guest rooms are wonderful with tasteful decoration and comfortable furniture. Chris and Yvonne are gracious hosts and go out of their way to make you comfortable, and your visit memorable. With only two guest rooms, the B&B will not be crowded. Breakfast and snacks are delicious! We have recommended Ambiance to many of our friends. It's a few miles outside of town, but that provides the spectacular views and peaceful grounds.

Awesome Ambiance!!

Our stay at the Ambiance B & B was spectacular! The innkeepers, Yvonne and Chris were so attentive to our every desire. The rooms were elegant and comfortable. Soaking in the beautiful oversized tub after a day\'s travel was amazing. Yvonne pays attention to every detail and is so attentive to whatever food requests or special diet you may have. Her breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Since I shared that I am gluten free, Yvonne made me the best peanut butter chocolate cookies I have ever had. One of the finest B&B\'s we have ever stayed in and you are in for a lovey experience. Oh, the view was gorgeous and the serenity of the Ambiance Bed & Breakfast unmatched in Sequim. Devon R

The name says it all

My husband and I spent two nights at the Ambiance Bed & Breakfast and they exceeded our expectations. The interior of this B&B combines turn of the century elegance with modern comforts and the surrounding grounds are well kept and blossoming. There are stunning views from the room as well as from the gazebo and patio/fireplace area. Chris and Yvonne were gracious hosts who effortlessly made us feel at home and pampered at the same time. This is a B&B that can meet the goals of most any getaway. The Ambiance is surrounded by many attractions and activities that keep your day full and busy so that you fall exhausted into one of the most comfortable beds I have ever been in. However, if you choose you could stay around the B&B for a much needed respit. My husband and I choose the later. The views and peace of this wonderful B&B gave us the much need atmosphere for us to stop and refresh our souls. We are both looking forward to when we can return.

Mountain Hideaway

My husband booked the Ambiance for two nights as a birthday surprise for me. We live on beautiful Whidbey Island, so every day we are treated to breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. It takes a lot to impress me, and The Ambiance certainly did. The setting for this gorgeous home is open acreage, once you drive down a wooded lane from the main road. The house is very pleasing to the eye, with amazing landscaping. Chris and Yvonne Herr have paid attention to detail throughout the property; it is understated, but everywhere you look, there is beauty. The view is lovely, but not the most incredible thing to me. The house is definitely the star of the show. The suites were tastefully decorated by Yvonne, and she is very skilled at creating a welcoming, comfortable and elegant space. We were in the smaller Wrenn's Nest suite, and it was a delight. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub was plenty big enough for two people to relax in, the bluetooth speaker paired easily with my iPod, and the gas fire was the perfect finishing touch. Breakfasts were both well-balanced and tasted wonderful; Yvonne is a wonderful cook, and her dishes were well-prepared and imaginative. The coffee was very tasty, too; full-bodied but not bitter. Yvonne even prepared a flask for us to take away with us when we left...just lovely. Yvonne and Chris are the perfect host and hostess, with a good knowledge of the area and a sincere desire to get to know their guests without seeming intrusive, as some B&B owners can seem. They were just very nice, intelligent people, who really wanted to make our stay as delightful as possible. They succeeded! Yvonne even made a dinner reservation for us for my my birthday meal, and it was much-appreciated! We would highly recommend The Ambiance (we already have) to anyone who is looking for a high-quality, reasonably priced and delightful place to stay while visiting the Olympic Peninsula. We look forward to our next stay, too!

Beautiful Views, Luxury Rooms, Amazing Service

My husband and I stayed here with my parents who were visiting from the east coast. Yvonne and her husband were very gracious hosts, and took care of everything we might need. It's a great place for families to escape to. Just be forewarned, you're not going to want to leave! The property is close the national forest land, and it's SO quiet to sleep at night, not to mention the stars. The hosts put a lot of thought and love into this place, and you will feel it when you visit.

Breathtaking and Romantic Bed and Breakfast

We recently completed a trip to the Northwest. We stayed at the Ambiance Bed and Breakfast in Sequim, Washington. The setting was nothing less than stunning. Yvonne and Chris have created a paradise with views and an environment that is so relaxing. We walked away feeling rejuvenated and pampered. Their beautiful home with its suites were inviting yet luxurious. At sunset we watched as deer roamed the meadow off the back of the property. The breakfast was scrumptious (all our favorite things) with a great sensitivity to our preferences. The attention to detail was impressive. Yvonne and Chris were delightful and we enjoyed the time we spent as we asked about their journey to develop this breathtaking oasis. If you are visiting Olympic Park or the surrounding area, this is a must for your travel plans. John and Jan

Great Views, Greater Customer Service!

We could go on and on about their jaw dropping view, tasteful décor and satisfying, beautifully plated breakfasts, but what made a lasting impression on me was that by the time we left I felt like we had gained two new friends! Chris and Yvonne were a wonderful team. Yvonne also went out of her way to commemorate our Fourth Wedding Anniversary, which really touched my heart. They were warm and friendly, but sincerely respected our privacy as well. We’d recommend this place to anyone who wants a serene and refreshing getaway coupled with friendly and professional customer service.
