Alta Vista Bed & Breakfast Inn

We stayed for 5 nights in March, 2010 and enjoyed our time there so much. The Innkeepers, Gaila and Peter made us feel so welcome. Our bedroom was very comfortable with beautiful views and a delightful bathroom, very well stocked with everything one needed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the breakfasts were splendid! Fresh fruit from their garden, fresh eggs from their own chickens, home made jams, wonderful muffins. Nothing was too much trouble for Gaila and Peter. Gaila gave us many suggestions for our time there and we did enjoy hiking in the National Parks and Canyons. But for those less energetic days, there is a beautiful garden to sit in. The views are spectacular and one can relax and enjoy the scenery. We heartily recommend the Alta Vista Inn.

I was a former guest and now I am a current employee of this charming Tucson Bed and Breakfast Inn. Some time ago, on a romantic Tucson weekend get-away with my sweet-heart, I found the peaceful Alta Vista Bed and Breakfast Inn located near Saguaro National Park East, in Tucson, Arizona. We had such a wonderful experience and were treated like VIP guests. Gaila is an amazing hostess and for a while after our stay she kept in touch and eventually it turned into a job opportunity for me. Now I am the Assistant Innkeeper at Alta Vista Bed and Breakfast Inn. Working by Gaila's side I learned that it was not only us she treated like special guests but every single guest that visits here is treated special and pampered. This charming Tucson B&B is ideal for all people of all ages and interests. If you want a Tucson romantic get-away, Gaila and I love to "play Cupid." Do you enjoy the outdoors? There are plenty of great Tucson hiking trails, parks, horse back riding stables, and outdoor fun we can suggest. We are happy to help plan your itinerary for you. Arizona Birders love our little oasis because we have many unique Tucson birds that stay at or near our Tucson, Bed and Breakfast all year long and plenty of Tucson desert wildlife that comes to visit too. The beautiful weather here in Tucson,Arizona offers a great opportunity to enjoy the sunshine all year long and boost some good mood feelings, relaxation and create some great memories of your Tucson, vacation. My husband and I stayed at Alta Vista for 3 nights in September of 2009. Gaila and Peter were just the friendliest people in the world to us. We felt like we were at home, that we could completely relax. Every effort was made to make us more comfortable, including making personalized vegan breakfasts for us! They could NOT have been more accommodating. The house is beautiful and we swear we saw more wildlife in their front and back yards than we did during our entire 2 week trip to AZ and Utah. Great heated pool and hot tub- very romantic!! They also have a beautiful little dog, Emma, who is a rescue. What a sweetie heart she is! We fully intend to return again one day. If you are ever in the Tuscon area you must stay here, if will be well worth it- trust us!

We stay at a B&B to celebrate our anniversary pretty much every year in recent history. This year we chose the Alta Vista in Tucson. It is a very pretty house, beautiful views of the mountains and desert, lots of birds to watch, and clean. The food was very good. Our hosts took care to meet our medical needs and our tastes. Very important, the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed watching the stars and relaxing in the pool and the hot tub in the evening. The weather is great and lots to do in the area as well. We would not hesitate to return to the Alta Vista. We really enjoyed our weekend.

We just returned from a one night stay at this inn and we had a wonderful time. The views are spectacular and we so enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub with cocktails at our side. The 18 chickens laid wonderful eggs that we enjoyed in the morning for a superb breakfast. The owners were not there, but the people filling in for them were great - thank you Jan and Paul. We will be back again.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like long lost members of the family. We were AMAZED at all the little touches!! Your taste buds are in for a treat at the Alta Vista...warm brownies at check-in, margaritas by the pool, and a breakfast to die for. The view was beautiful and there wasn't anything we could've asked for that Gaila and Peter weren't willing to make happen for us. They are both very knowledgable about the area and made wonderful suggestion to make every aspect of our trip the best it could possibly be!
