Great First Experience!

This was our first time ever to a B&B. What a great experience! Jack and Allison were great hosts. The other people staying there were very friendly. The breakfast was awesome and the place was beautiful. Great room, very clean, gorgeous surrounding area. Will definitely come back!

A pleasant stay but….

Although Jack was friendly and engaging, Allison seemed distant and hardly spoke to us whenever we saw her. She seemed timid rather than unfriendly but that's so not what we've encountered anywhere else we've stayed. [This is so different from other reviews I have read—maybe she was not feeling well.] The breakfasts were large and varied; the fruit & yogurt parfaits were excellent, and the available homemade cookies in the living room were yummy. Our room was pretty clean and decent; however, a few disappointments: the room was very small and the furniture placement forced each of us to literally stand aside if the other wanted to pass by; the shower had to be the smallest I have ever seen or used; the only wastebasket was a tiny one in the bathroom (there should be one in the bedroom for convenience); and there were cobwebs on the ceiling the housekeeping team missed (otherwise the room seemed clean). For positives, the walkway is well lit, there is plenty of off-road parking, and lots of nearby attractions. In warm weather the second story back porch is a wonderful place to relax. The available internet service is a bonus for those who need to stay connected. Even with the negatives we would stay there again, but in a different room with better placed furniture and realistic expectations for breakfast.
