This was my first stay at the Alpenhorn Inn in Big Bear. We went up for a girls weekend and to see some early fall color. The scenery was beautiful and we appreciated all the wildlife and flaming red trees that had started to turn. Linda the innkeeper, is kind and gracious and gives everyone a warm welcome. Quick to help with all that Big Bear City and the area mountains have to offer, she is well informed about everything from where the most scenic hikes are to which zipline to try or what events in town might interest you. She allowed us to blow the 12-foot Alpenhorn that resides above the fireplace. It was very easy to reach restaurants and activities from her location. The beds were comfortable, the guestroom fireplace easy and fun to use and the bathrooms were spacious. Snacks were offered both in the afternoon and evening in addition to the creatively served and delicious breakfasts. (Try the oatmeal Crème Brule.) The inn felt like home and boasts a 4-Diamond rating! The only such property in all of San Bernardino County.

This bed and breakfast was a real joy to stay at. Upon arriving, we were greeted with such warmth and joy. The room we stayed in was great, very cozy with a private balcony and your own fireplace. The bathroom included a jacuzzi hot tub....definitely the highlight of the room! Breakfast in the morning was very good. The breakfast plate consisted of four 4 mini samplers of very orignial breakfast items. The breakfast left you feeling full with a good taste in your mouth. The service was outstanding and the meal was very enjoyable. Overall, a great place to stay.
