Alexander's Country Inn at Mt. Rainier
Map
Location: Country, Mountains and Mount Rainier National Park.
Romantic Interest
Fresh flowers, crackling fire in the fireplace, chocolates and wine served in the evening, all make for a relaxing and romantic experience. The guest rooms are stylish; fresh soothing colors and decor-- along with the mixture of today's style, mixed with antiques, blend together creating an enjoyable and romantic ambience.
Historic Interest
Built in 1912 by a homesteading family, Alexander's catered to the traveling public in the earliest days of Mount Rainier National Park. Much of the original 10,000 square foot building remains in-tact. The current owners re-opened the inn as a hotel in 1984, adding antique European stained glass and modern amenities in both the bedrooms and bathrooms. Upgrades such as a day spa, media room, hot tub continue to be added.

“Mountain Majesty”
Don L8/1/2011
Loden green forests, glacial fed water tumbling over stone into crystal clear trout pond, well tramped paths and the scent of earth and growth - then at the end of the day a well prepared and delicious meal before a soft bed and quiet rest.
