         <title>Mistletoe Bough</title>
         <link>http://www.iloveinns.com/bed_and_breakfasts/alabama/mistletoebough.htm</link>
<description>When Jean and Carlice Payne purchased this three-story Queen Anne Victorian, it had been in the Reuben Herzfeld family for 103 years. Surrounded by two acres of lawns, tall oak and pecan trees as well as a tulip tree, Victorian Pearl bushes, camellias and brilliant azaleas, the home has a three-story turret and cupola, balconies, stained-glass windows and a wraparound porch. The porch ceiling is painted sky blue. A gracious foyer features tongue-and-groove wainscoting and opens to a ladies' parlor on one side and a gentlemen's parlor on the other. Fresh flowers, antiques and lace curtains are mixed with traditional and antique Victorian and European furnishings. Upon arrival, guests are pampered with refreshments and homemade cookies (frequently with ingredients from Mistletoe's fruit trees and Carlice's herb garden). Other goodies are always on hand. A four-course breakfast is served in the formal dining room with fine china, crystal and silver. The home is in the National Register.</description>
