Puerta Azul
Puerta Azul is a cozy elegant hideaway with a private entrance off the Grand Portal, just steps from the Main Lodge living room. Azul is part of the original 1830s adobe hacienda, and has a hand-painted kiva fireplace, fine art, in-room CD player/radio, queen bed with featherbed topper, tile floors and private bath. Brightly colored and warm, Azul's Dutch door offers a grand view of majestic Taos Mountain and the Inn's gardens.

Puerta Verde
Puerta Verde is part of the original hacienda and has a wonderful and rare early-1800s Madonna and Child retablo intact above the kiva fireplace. Verde has a small sitting area, TV with DVD/VHS player, in-room CD player/radio, books, Native American artifacts, Queen bed with featherbed topper, brick floors and private bath. Outside the window a grove of Spanish broom blooms in the spring and this room too has its own Dutch door entrance off the Grand Portal.

Puerta Turquese
The Puerta Turquese is a separate guest cottage with a private entrance off a sunny courtyard. The large bedroom and sitting area, decorated in crisp, bright pastels, is bathed in color and light with unique southwestern tile and turquoise accents to its wooden trim. The corner fireplace can be enjoyed from either the down-covered Queen bed or the sitting area. In your private bathroom, relax in the jet whirlpool bath and enjoy the romance of a second corner fireplace. The cottage's kitchen area is equipped for longer stays by special arrangement.

Puerta Blanca
The Puerta Blanca is the newest and most family friendly suite. The beautifully furnished suite has two separate bedrooms, each with a Queen-size bed with featherbed topper. The private bath has a tub/shower combination. The living room boasts a large leather couch, which opens into a Queen sleeper sofa. The flat screen TV is service by DishNetwork and has a DVD/VHS Player. There is also a custom built kiva gas fireplace and classic saltillo tile floor throughout the kitchen/living room area. The kitchen is accented with a copper sink and is funished with a gas range, full-size refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Outside is your own private patio area, complete with seating and a chimenea to enjoy outdoor fires in the cool evening. Puerta Blanca is perfect for a family getaway. The entire suite is warm and inviting with its appointments. The decorations are influenced by both Hispanic and Native American cultures with the hues of red, cocoa and coral.

Puerta Violeta
Puerta Violeta is the only second-story guest room in the Inn. It has a private entrance off the inner courtyard. In the day, the magic of Taos Mountain sparkles through large picture windows lighting up the gentle pastels decorating this bright, spacious room. At night the large southwestern sky fills the room with starlight, and the corner kiva fireplace glows with embers of native aspen and pine. Pour a glass of wine and settle into the two-person jet tub in your private bathroom which also shares the view of the Taos skyline. Queen-size bed with featherbed topper, TV with DVD/VHS Player and private patio for summer use complete the charm of this delightful getaway.

Puerta Rosa
Puerta Rosa is the perfect place to pamper yourself in a spa-like setting. The private entrance from the inner courtyard leads to a guest room decorated in rich southwestern hues with vaulted ceilings, kiva fireplace, sitting area and hand-crafted wrought-iron bed. But the piéce de résistance of Puerta Rosa is the oversized sunken bathroom with cream-colored Mexican tiles and deep green accents. The large cedar sauna, two-person soaking tub and separate shower is enhanced by the second corner fireplace which warms the whole room. Candles, bath salts, bubbles, bathrobes and plush over-sized towels add to the luxuriant pleasure of this private spa.

Puerta Cobre
You enter Puerta Cobre's rustic elegance through French doors on your private portal that faces the inner courtyard. Inviting and warm, its teal and copper interior beckons you to relax and soak up the unique blend of traditional Southwest design and luxurious comforts. The gas fireplace designed for year-round use is perfect for frosty winter dawns or cool summer twilight. Its dancing flames can be enjoyed from the sitting area or the Queen-size bed with featherbed topper, which calls forth Taos-inspired dreams with its spectacular, one-of-a-kind handcrafted iron headboard. The sitting area will invite you to linger with its comfortable leather couch, kitchenette, and Red Willow twig shutters that create subtle shadows in the long sun-filled afternoons. Stepping into the bathroom of Puerta Cobre with its handmade copper-colored Mexican tile is like being inside one of Taos Pueblo's golden-flecked pots. To totally enchant, another gas fireplace has been added to the bathroom at eye level with the two-person jetted tub. Candles, soft wall lighting and bubble bath complete the mood. Puerta Cobre is beautiful in its harmony, magical in its possibilities.

Puerta Roja
Puerta Roja, tucked in amongst a century-old apple tree and a majestic Blue Spruce, is perhaps the most dramatic room in the Inn. Its private entrance is through one of two sets of French doors that open onto a private portal with a view of the courtyard. The deep burnished red walls gleam and draw a striking contrast against pale, cream-colored floors. Large hand-carved vigas, a built-in bed, and heavy wooden shutters are characteristic of Southwestern design, and add to the charm of this suite. Among the amenities to pamper and comfort you, are a soft leather couch where you may enjoy cable TV with DVD/VHS player while also enjoying the enchantment of a nearby gas fireplace and the convenience of a kitchenette. An arched doorway leads you to another delight for your senses...an elegantly spacious bathroom. You may step into a shower hidden behind a sculptured adobe-style wall, or two may enjoy relaxing in a large jetted tub. Imagine a sky light, soft lighting, bubble bath, and the glow of a second gas fireplace. Puerta Roja, with its rich mix of textures and deep hues of red and burgundy has captured the warm spirit of the Kiva, the sacred ceremonial caves of the Pueblo Indians.
