Sangre de Christo Mountains provide breathtaking views while staying at the Adobe and Stars Bed and Breakfast Inn located in Taos, New Mexico. It's a few minutes from either the historic Taos Plaza or the Taos Ski Valley slopes. The guest room decor complements the Southwestern adobe exterior. Kiva fireplaces, wood beam ceilings, hand-carved furnishings and artwork complete the look. Radiant heat floors, terra cotta tiles and a Jacuzzi tub or double shower are pleasant amenities. Several rooms boast a mountain or mesa view. Hearty country breakfasts include a changing daily entrée and homemade baked goods, fruit, juice and coffee served in the dining room or on the patio. Soak in the hot tub under a starry sky after rafting down the Rio Grande. Bike or hike in the national forest or ski local slopes. Shops, galleries and restaurants are nearby.

Adobe & Stars - A Bit of Heaven On Earth! My daughter (Heather) and I went to New Mexico to visit galleries and sample as much guacamole as possible. Another teacher had recommended Adobe and Stars. The location is incredible--you can actually see the stars at night (from a hot tub as well). The breakfast was fantastic and Judy decorated the plates with herbs and flowers from her garden. We loved seeing the hummingbirds and hollyhocks. We were only a few miles from downtown Taos and the Pueblo reservation. We must have visited at least 50 galleries in the six days that we stayed in the area. Local restaurants were charming, reasonable and delicious. We met so many marvelous folks. Judy was so attentive and an amazing resource of information. She also has an artist's eye and heart which was evident in the architecture and interior decor of Adobe and Stars. Maureen S. We loved everything about our stay and plan to return with more family members. New Mexico is TRULY the land of enchantment!!!!! Thank you, Judy.

InnSide Tip - Carson National Park
Although our visit was form 12-18 July, you can still drive about 9 miles to the Taos Ski Valley and ride the trams to see a spectacular view of the mountains and meadows. The tickets were only $10 and it makes you feel like you are in the "Sound of Music" movie.

We searched the internet. A&S looked the best and it exceeded all expectations. Judy guided us in our stay--giving us excellent bookings at restaurants, giving us shopping information that was just perfect. The food was wonderful. Yes, we are already thinking of when we come again to stay. The best B&B of many that we have stayed in.

Loved Our Stay Adobe and Stars The innkeeper, Judy was very informative and accommodating. One of many examples is: we were in town for a friend's wedding and we had a very busy schedule, we were in a rush for an early morning activity and were going to miss the breakfast. Judy was kind enough to pack us a delicious fruit cup and fresh baked coffee cake to go so we would have something to eat. The breakfasts were delicious, the rooms were great, beds are comfortable, views spectacular. Lon A.

We recently spent a special anniversary at Adobe and Stars. Judy, the owner, went out of her way to make our stay memorable. The inn's location is ideal, convenient to Taos but also quiet and countrified. Judy recommended a great restaurant in the nearby village of Arroyo Seco, and we also enjoyed its little shops and galleries. Our room was lovely, with beautiful views. The breakfasts were delicious, and we loved eating outside on the sunny patio. Better yet, the full moon we could see from our balcony was divine. We will definitely be back!

We were at Adobe Stars about 3 years ago in October. We stayed in an upstairs room with an amazing view of the fall aspen on the mountain. The hot tub is great for night time star gazing. We just made reservations for our 3rd visit and the innkeeper Judy promises that the gingerbread waffels and quiche are still on the menu. My husband and I really like how centrally located the B&B is. Its easy to get to the trail heads and its quick to get to the Taos Plaza.
