Circa 1910. Enjoy wandering the five scenic acres of gardens and fields while staying at this year-round bed & breakfast with a log house that was originally a school and themed cottages conveniently located only five minutes from the Guadalupe River and downtown Gruene. Overlook the hills from a porch rocker. Play the converted pump organ and make calls from an antique phone booth. Suites and cottages feature fireplaces and some boast Jacuzzi tubs. Indulge in an all-you-can-eat multi-course breakfast buffet in the log house dining room. Swim in the in-ground pool or soak in the relaxing hot tub. Browse through the antique and gift shop for treasures to take home. Barbecue pits and picnic tables are provided throughout the grounds. The Victorian Garden is an ideal setting for weddings.

Far exceeded our expectations. Loved everything about it...especially the breakfasts each morning. Pam is a wonderful cook and goes all ot on the breakfasts---you won't believe it. More food that you can imagine. She is also very friendly and helpful. Loved the Victorian House but the entire property is wonderful. Well kept, beautiful trees, rooms/house are spotless. Owners take great pride in their property and service.

My fiance and I stayed there over the weekend, 6/17-19. We absolutely loved it. The owners were so friendly and wonderful, the accommodations were just right and the food was awesome. The grounds were nice, quaint and full of antiques! The pool was wonderful, also. It was so close to everything and made taking several short day trips in one day possible. We will definitely be returning soon. Thanks Pam!

Acorn Hill B&B - Perfection!

Acorn Hill Bed & Breakfast

Dear Acorn Hill Bed & Breakfast, Our family had such a special time celebrating my mother’s 70th birthday in the Victorian house. Your attention to detail and your love for what you do really came through during our visit. When Barbara checked us in, we felt right at home and then my mother was welcomed with a special birthday cake and baskets of goodies in our room. The breakfast was delicious and my three-year-old son ate everything in front of him. Ronnie is a seriously good cook! And Pam, what can we say about you except you are the perfect hostess, just the right amount of southern hospitality and giving the guests their privacy. We will be back again in June and October. All of our friends will know about Acorn Hill Bed & Breakfast or at least our best friends. We don’t want everyone to know our secret special place. Thank you again, Gita

Perfect Balance

This B&B was quite wonderful if you like your privacy, delicious breakfasts, courteous staff, and "a home away from home" feel. The innkeepers are non-intrusive, in the sense of you'll only see them if you choose to dine at breakfast. And you should! The food was excellent. Aside from the food, the best part of breakfast was that you get your own table, and aren't forced to sit with others unless you simply choose to do so. I stayed in "The Cottage" which was a stand-alone unit, decorated with yellows and pinks and greens and antiques, and appointed with modern conveniences. The only poorer ratings I would give this B&B is its location, which isn't terrible, but is a short hike by car from Gruene, which may not even be your main destination; and the small shower/no tub. Easy to live without for a day or two or three.

my family and I have spent the last weekend in July here for the past 16 years. we always have a great time. it is close to Schlitterbahn water park, Gruene Hall, and tubing on the Guadalupe river. Pam's breakfast casseroles are divine, and the linens are luxurious.
