Description

Abode at Willowtail Springs in Mancos, Colorado spans 60 acres of wooded wilderness and colorful gardens surrounding a lake filled with large mouth bass. Sit on the deck overlooking the lake and gaze at the magnificent reflections of the mountain vistas. Bird watching offers more than 30 varieties with many listed as endangered species. A canoe and rowboat are available as well as gear for catch and release fishing. Log cabins boast libraries with games and books, outdoor gas grills, stocked and equipped kitchens, fireplaces, TVs, DVDs, sound systems and WiFi. A continental breakfast is provided for the first day. The entrance to scenic Mesa Verde National Park is just ten minutes away.

The Garden Cottage is a wonderful surprise in a private setting! Nestled by itself amid lush gardens and wildlife, this charming log cabin has a peek-a-boo view looking East to the private lake and the La Plata Mountains. Indulge yourself or your family in a private holiday retreat where you can rest, paint, read a book, write a poem or take a class. On the covered deck ... languish in overstuffed furniture, drink fresh coffee or watch the joyous antics of birds. Contemplate a thought, a book or a loved one in the morning light, the immensity of stars, the brilliance of moonrise or the exquisite beauty of rainbows reflecting in water. Eat toast and cherry/raspberry jam. Do a Tai Chi form or some Yoga. Snuggle with your sweetheart on a couch in front of the cozy fireplace or on the deck. Feel the gardens thick with the scents of flowers and the blur of hummingbirds. Thrill to delicious fall air, autumn color or huge winter snowflakes followed by sparkling sun. Take your child on an adventure. Go fishing, take a hike, a boat ride. Adventure out to nearby Mesa Verde National Park, take a stagecoach ride in the Mancos Valley or horseback riding in the mountains with "real" cowboys. Lakehouse

This three-bedroom log home affords dramatic lake and mountain views from the interior and the large deck. Large enough for 6, the Lakehouse is also cozy for just 2 who need to get away. Lace curtains, satin quilts, ambient lighting, great views, fully stocked bookcase and a large art collection add luxury to the exquisite interiors without sacrificing comfort or playfulness. Scenes from the garden and lake grace a very bright and roomy kitchen. The results of one's play here can be savored in the dining room or on the large deck, both of which overlook the lake and mountains. Grab a fishing pole and take a quick walk or drift in a canoe on the lake. Enjoy a glass of wine with other guests by the dock in a heavenly chaise. From the deck you can enjoy hummingbirds, kingfishers, red-winged blackbirds, red-tailed hawks, ducks of various varieties, eagles, osprey, herons, orioles and bluebirds.Special vacation rental rates apply to seven night stay.

Idyllic spot

What an idyllic spot you have! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay- a perfect way to celebrate our 7th anniversary and our first nights away from our toddler. The bungalow is a perfect place for comfortable wildlife viewing and a great retreat from everyday life!

Slow down

What a special place this is to slow down, enjoy nature and each other. We picked the right night to be here with the winter's first snow deocrating the landscape. The cabins and furnishings were over the top. 24 hour stay seemed like a week of relaxation. Thanks for letting us share your magical place.

Snuggling or outdoor adventure

We could have snuggled and lounged the entire time we stayed as comfortable and cozy was the bungalow. But cross country adventuring in the crisp early winter cold under blue skies was too alluring and ultimately more rewarding... This is as many have extolled a magical place for anyone whose eyes are open, whose senses are alive and whose soul is married to the benevolence that is the source of wonder in our lives.

Lovely

What a wonderful spot! The cottage and grounds are so lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed strolling and seeing all the flowers and birds, canoeing, fishing, playing cards in our cottage and just being in this special place.

Welcoming

You were extremely gracious and welcoming and it felt like we were coming to stay with old friends or family. The lake was incredibly peaceful and we love the quiet solitude that we found here... hope to come back and stay longer.

Gorgeous

Serene spot. It was the perfect spot for our wedding and just what we had hoped for. We really enjoyed fishing on the canoe, the hot tub and looking at the lake from our window every morning. This place is much more than we expected. Thank you for making it a memorable weekend

So lovely

We only wish we could have stayed longer. Such a beautiful, relaxing spot and the bungalow was the most cozy, homey guest accomodation we've ever found. Truly perfect.

Picturesque!

One with nature, peace and tranquility. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. The experiences was so new and inspiring... The whole environment was so wow thought provokings, lovely, happy, cozy, warm, inviting. The outdoors are just magnificent flowers, fruit trees, lake and wildlife...

Wonderful home base

What a wonderful home base for oour adventures in this beautiful area. Every time we came back to the lakehouse we felt like we're coming home. To watch the lake glisten in the morning sun was a special treat.
