Circa 1905. Boasting a four-diamond rating for both the inn and the on-site restaurant, this lavish country inn was originally built as an opulent private residence. Situated on three acres in the historic district of a quaint village, this Greek Revival mansion is luxuriously appointed. Bask in the elegant yet unpretentious atmosphere and enjoy the attention to detail that instills relaxation. Guest bedrooms feature an abundance of pampering amenities. A full breakfast is served daily. Six-course prix fixe dinners are presented at intimately lit tables for two with fresh flowers, settings of silver, china and crystal. Subtle sounds of jazz add to the warm ambiance. Cocktails, wines and liqueurs are available.

Our visit was just as it should be. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Dinner and breakfast were served graciously and both the taste and presentation was impeccable. One of our favorite dining experiences.

Michael and Betty were friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable and first class. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious. We will stay here many times as we travel between Virginia and Florida.

We have stayed at many B&Bs and this was one of our most enjoyable experiences. The innkeepers were exceptionally hospitable, as were the meals we were served. I'd highly recommend this side trip to anyone traveling I-95 between NY and FL.

This is definitely a place you'll never want to leave, but when you do you will be planning your next trip before you are in your car! The staff was amazing; very warm and welcoming! They made every second of the stay enjoyable and stress free. I would highly recommend the cooking class regardless of your skill level, it's fun for everyone! I can't say one bad thing about the Abingdon Manor Inn. I can't wait to return, what a wonderful experience!

A lovely home with great breakfasts in an elegant atmosphere. We stayed there before on-site dinners were available, so that makes it appealing to return for another visit someday!

Just five minutes off Interstate 95. What a fantastic inn and what superb hosts - Michael and Patty Griffey! The Manor is spectacular with the rooms all first-class. We stayed in the Master. Its bathroom was as large as most hotel rooms. Patty is a marvelous chef! Dinner and breakfast were culinary delights. We have resolved to never bypass Abingdon Manor on our treks up and down Interstate 95.

We have just returned from an experience we couldn't have ever imagined. We were greeted in the foyer by one of the owners (Mike) & immediately given a tour of the mansion...very impressive with of leagues of history. Then onto an exquisite 6 course meal...lovingly prepared by the other owner...Patty...the CHEF! The next morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and then embarked on our Cooking School experience. WOW...this is one for the books...and certainly one that we aspire to do again soon. We made fresh pasta, foccaica bread and many other fabulous dishes...and then (with a little anxiety) our dishes were served to the other diners at the restaurant!!! And, as usual in the Abingdon Manor dining room...dinner was received extremely well. Not too full, but just right!!!
