Circa 1906. This turn-of-the-century inn is located along the Andersonville Trail and not far from the city of Andersonville, a Civil War village with a museum. Located between Andersonville and Plains, the home of former President Jimmy Carter, where you may attend and hear him teach Sunday school. The gracious, wraparound porch is a perfect spot for relaxation. The innkeepers plan the morning meal to accommodate their guests' schedules, serving up a candle-lit breakfast with freshly baked breads using silver, crystal and china. The guest rooms offer romantic amenities such as whirlpools and snug down comforters. Two of the rooms are named in honor of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. Late afternoons are reserved for wine and refreshments. Several restaurants are within walking distance.
