We have stayed at the Tucker House several times on our trips to the Louisville area. We are so charmed by the comfortable and historic inn, as well as the hosts, Steve and Devonna, that we always find a way to come back again. Our favorite room is the Courting Chamber which has a wonderful whirlpool bath. Devonna makes a great breakfast which is always served graciously with a smile.

Circa 1840. A state landmark, this meticulously restored brick, Federal-style farmhouse is listed in the National Register. The ambiance of early country living is enhanced by original poplar floors and trim, seeded-glass windows, solid brick walls and seven fireplaces. The parlor holds two historical book collections. Distinctive guest chambers feature thick robes, big towels and soft linens. Freshly brewed coffee and other refreshments are available in the common room that leads to a relaxing deck. A hearty breakfast is served on antique china in the formal dining room or on Kentucky Bybee pottery in the cheery gathering room. Five acres of spectacular surroundings include formal gardens, woods, a spring-fed lake and a swimming pool.
