Circa 1818. Situated on a ten-acre horse farm once owned by author Pearl S. Buck, the historic 1818 converted barn has retained its original hand-hewn beams, plank floors and stone walls. Relax in the rustic setting with Victorian furnishings, antiques and a wood-burning stove. Play games in the library or watch a large-screen TV in the common room. There's also an air-conditioned two-room cottage with whirlpool duo tub, private patio and garden area. All rooms are available with two beds. The pool is open during summer months. The inn is perfect for a romantic getaway or as a location for a corporate retreat. It's near Peddler's Village, New Hope, Frenchtown, N.J., and Pearl S. Buck International. Enjoy art museums, antiquing, galleries, historical attractions and fine dining. The inn is four miles from Doylestown (1),PA located between Peace Valley Lake and Lake Nockamixon State Park. The National Geographic's (June 2000) Guide to Small Town Escapes rates Doylestown as one of the nation's top places to visit for a weekend escape.
