“Our Stay in May 2010”
Mary SignorinoNorwich, CT
6/16/2010
This lovely little place was one good find. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. As a middle aged couple, we found Noreen and her hospitality to be delightful. She is an impeccable lady and aims to please. She gives all kinds of information about where to go, things to do, restaurants, etc. We spent 2 nights in the Pond Room and loved it ! We explored each day and found places that we never knew existed in Newport, RI. We are from CT and look for places like Noreen's to go and get away from it all for a couple of days here and there. We would absolutley stay again !

“A Nice Stay”

This B&B is in a wonderful location for touring the Newport Mansions and taking the cliff walk. Noreen was helpful with recommending restaurants and other things to do. She was attentive to our special requests (i.e. extra coffee). The room had a mini kitchenette which made our stay very comfortable. Thanks Noreen!

“Peace & Quiet”
melanie lucasburlington, NJ

I had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at Murray House last month. My son attends school a few beautiful blocks away from this quaint & quiet b&b. I drove up from NJ to drop his truck to him to pack up after finals and drive home. I usually just make it a quick round trip but decided to treat myself to a much needed rest. I have brain aneurysms and had had surgery on one last fall and was going in the day after Mothers Day for the other one. So I wanted just to relax, not think, escape for a few days. And I did just that at Murray House. It was perfect in ever aspect I needed. It was small, very private, extremely clean and comfortable. I felt at home but away from it all. So peaceful quiet and yet the heart of Newport was less than a block away. Noreen the owner had left a lovely note and called to make sure the next day to make sure I had everything I needed even though she herself was not feeling well. After talking with her while I was walking on the Cliffwalks I thought about our short conversation and the wonderful connection I felt with this ever so kind and gracious women who I had yet to meet. I am so grateful to her for the lovely stay I had at Murry House and look forward to going back up over the next few months to stay again and spend time swimming, reading in the garden and meeting Noreen.

“wonderful and romantic!”
l r2/16/2010
Murray House bed and breakfast is my favorite in Newport. We have been twice in the past 2 years, most recently for valentine's weekend. The rooms are lovely and romantic and the service is top notch. When you walk through the gate, the gardens are beautiful and you feel as if you have just entered your own little fairytale world. We love it here and cannot wait to return in the summer!

“A jewel of a find”
Pat Henderson10/28/2009
Murray House B & B and Noreen are absolutely wonderful. The service is unique for even a B&B with breakfast served in room for privacy and pampering. Noreen has thought of every detail imaginable and you will be pleasantly surprised. The grounds are creatively and beautifully manicured with flowers and little sitting alcoves, a fountain in the koi pond gently flowing. The hot tub is relaxing with a view of the stars. The view from Pondview Suite overlooks a pond that seems like a bird sanctuary and beyond the pond you can even see the ocean and hear the surf at night. If you want to know more we'd be happy to help you.
